There is a difference between the Western and Māori cultures. There is concern about candidates signing a pledge to support Labour policy and principles. The CEOs of most companies want to grow their businesses. They are feeling the pain of restricted immigration and expensive labour/workplace regulations. They want an open-door policy. Immigration means pressure on infrastructure and wages. It depletes the talent pool of source nations. And it means additional social pressures. Why can't the Government simplify and speed up visa processes? It's time to let market forces prevail.
