Tuvalu was beaten by Gentleman Roy in a $130,000 race over 1600 metres at Flemington on Saturday. The trainer Lindsey Smith suspects Tuvala may have gallstones in his bladder. His stablemate Corner Pocket won his eighth consecutive race. Cornerpocket's jockey Declan Bates was impressed by his last few track gallops. Corner pocket may run in the Blamey Stakes next. He has won the Elms Handicap in recent weeks.
