Liverpool, Arsenal battling for Milan title hero with both desperate for midfield reinforcements

Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing Ismael Bennacer from Milan. The 25-year-old spent two years at Arsenal between 2015 and 2017. He played for Empoli before joining Milan for £17m in 2019. Bennacer played a key role in Milan's first league title since 2011. Liverpool are the strongest in the chase for Benncer. Arsenal and Milan played each other in a friendly in Dubai. Arsenal currently sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League. Mikel Arteta claims his side will be active in January market.
