Los Angeles Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves Prediction 9-2-23 MLB Picks

The Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet in game three of their four-game set in MLB action from Dodger Stadium on Saturday. The Braves have won the first two meetings, can they make it three in a row? Let’s dive in and find out.

Braves Continue To Control Series

The Atlanta Braves needed a strong showing in this series to maintain their hold on the best record in baseball, and so far, they’ve done just that after a 6-3 win for their second win of the series. The win brought Atlanta to 89-45 on the year, sitting well at the top of the NL East standings. Ronald Acuna Jr. leads the Braves with 183 hits and a .338 batting average along with 63 stolen bases to lead MLB in that category. Acuna Jr. also has 31 homers and 84 RBIs while Matt Olson leads the Braves with 43 home runs and 112 RBIs this season. Austin Riley’s chipped in 32 homers, while Eddie Rosario, Ozzie Albies, Sean Murphy and Marcell Ozuna make up the other four Braves bats with 20+ HR so far this season. Bryce Elder will start for Atlanta here and is 11-4 with a 3.50 ERA and 107 strikeouts this season.

Dodgers Look For A Bounce Back

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be coming out looking to rebound after their loss on Friday. The loss dropped the Dodgers to 83-51 on the year, sitting 13.5 games clear atop the NL West. Mookie Betts leads the Dodgers with 38 home runs in addition to 98 RBIs while Max Muncy is right alongside with 32 homers of his own and 90 RBIs. J.D. Martinez has 25 home runs to go along with 78 RBIs while Freddie Freeman has a team-high 180 hits, 89 RBIs, a .338 batting average and a .414 OBP in addition to 25 homers and 51 doubles this season. The Dodgers did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Chris’ Pick

I’m looking at the over here. I like the Dodgers for the bounce back as I think they scratch a few off of Bryce Elder here, but I also think Atlanta’s hitting too well at the plate right now to really ignore and I think we just have a high-scoring matchup in this one between two of the best teams in baseball and for sure the two best in the National League. Give me the over.
