Louisiana AG Landry to give HBPA Conference keynote address

Louisiana AG Jeff Landry will be the keynote speaker at the National HBPA’s annual conference March 6-10 at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans”. The conference is hosted by the Louisiana HB PA and will take place in conjunction with the Association of Racing Commissioners International‘s Annual Meeting and Racing Integrity Conference.

HBPA and ARCI will share panel discussions and presentations during their overlapping conferences. HISA will be the focus. Panelists will include ARci President Ed Martin and Amy Cook, the executive director of the Texas Racing Commission. The meeting of AR CI’s model rules committee will also be open for both groups to attend. The annual Kent Stirling Memorial Medication Panel will delve into laboratories‘ “limits of detection” and how it affects drug testing in horse racing. It will feature Louisiana HBPA board members Bret Calhoun and Ron Faucheux and Kentucky HB PA board member Jason Barkley.
