Luka and Giannis open as early MVP favorites

The NBA preseason is just around the corner. There are early predictions and odds for NBA awards. Two superstars are leading the field in terms of who will win the 2022-23 NBA MVP.

Luka Doncic and Giannis are early MVP favorites. Dallas Mavericks made some noise in the playoffs last season. Luka led the team and is getting better each year. Gianni is considered the best player in his prime. He scored 29.9 points, 5.8 assists, 11.6 rebounds and a player efficiency rating of 32.1 last year and should be in top three again this season with Khris Middleton coming back.

Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant and Nikola Jokic are early MVP favorites. JOKic is the reigning two-time MVP. Luka and Giannis are also early favorites for the award.

Jayson Tatum and Ja Morant are early sleepers for the MVP race. Both players are entering their prime and looking to rebound after disappointing seasons last year. Tayson averaged 21.5 points in the NBA Finals. Ja has been active on social media since the Warriors' loss to Memphis.
