Magic vs. Spurs prediction and odds for Tuesday, March 14 (How to bet total)

The Orlando Magic are favored on the road for the third time this season when they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night.

San Antonio picked up a win over the Denver Nuggets at home, but they proceeded to lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their next contest. Meanwhile, the Magic are coming off an upset win over the Miami Heat.

Orlando has listed Franz Wagner as questionable for this game, but the Spurs have a loaded injury report (potentially for tanking reasons?) tonight:

Spurs injury report vs. Magic

  • Keldon Johnson (questionable)
  • Malaki Branham (out)
  • Romeo Langford (out)
  • Khem Birch (out)
  • Tre Jones (out)
  • Jeremy Sochan (questionable)

If Johnson sits, the Spurs offense should take a major hit tonight, so how should we bet on this game?

I’m not comfortable laying this many points with Orlando on the road since the team’s offense takes a major step back away from home.

However, that gives us some value on the total, which is set at 232.5 tonight.

Orlando’s offensive rating is 108.7 on the road, good for 28th in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Spurs are 29th in offensive rating on the season.

Usually, San Antonio’s league worst defense leads to a bunch of OVERs, but I don’t know if Orlando takes advantage of it as much as the team should, especially if Wagner sits.

Fade these two poor offenses on Tuesday night.
