England's Euro 2024 qualifying campaign got off to the perfect start back in March as Gareth Southgate's side picked up maximum points from games against the two most difficult teams on paper.

The Knights of Malta have started their qualifying campaign with back to back defeats in their quest to reach the country's first ever major competition.
Michele Marcolini's side fell to a 2-1 defeat to North Macedonia in their opening game before being beaten at home by neighbours Italy in their second match was has left them rooted to the bottom of Group c.
The Mediterranean side had lost all of their last three matches, but prepared for Friday's match against England by winning a friendly 1-0 away at Luxembourg last Friday.
England have won all six of their previous matches against Malta by a combined scoreline of 16-1.
The most recent meeting between the two sides came in qualification for the World Cup in Russia, where England followed up a 2-0 home win with a 4-0 away win over the Maltese, in what was Southgate's first campaign in charge of the the Three Lions.
