Manchester United getting ready for busy winter transfer window

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United by mutual consent. Erik ten Hag is considering a number of transfer options for the upcoming January window. He wants to sell players and bring in new ones. He also wants the players he considers surplus to requirements.

Cody Gakpo is a star player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Netherlands. Manchester United made enquiries about him last summer, but they eventually decided to sign Antony. Now talks have resumed and Gackpo's move to Manchester is practically a foregone conclusion. Real Madrid are interested in signing him.

Jadon Sancho was signed by Manchester United for €85 million in 2021. Sanchoe was left out of the England squad for the World Cup. He was also left back in Manchester during the United's mid-season training camp in Spain. Borussia Dortmund have a track record of buying back former players.

Manchester United are interested in signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. However, the player's price is too high and the transfer will be complicated.  Atletico are willing to sell Felix during the winter transfer window if they can recoup most of their original €126 million investment.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is considering signing a forward. Anthony Martial has been plagued by injury problems and was left out of the France squad for the World Cup. He played in back-to-back games before the Premier League break.
