Sven Goran Eriksson wants Manchester United to swap Donny van de Beek for PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo in January. Van debeek has failed to cement his place at Old Trafford since joining from Ajax for £35 million in the summer of 2020. Gakspo has impressed for both club and country this season.

Eriksson claims that Manchester United should sign Gakpo and Erik ten Hag in the winter transfer window. G Kakpo is currently playing for the Netherlands at the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Erik 10 Hag is playing in Qatar. Manchester Utd are in need of a first-choice striker after Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.
