Manchester United set 'to launch club-record £105million bid' to sign France forward Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt

Manchester United could offer as much as £105million for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani this summer, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has gained plenty of suitors after impressing for France at the World Cup in Qatar.

Man United are set to go head-to-head with Paris Saint-Germain as they look to secure the highly-rated forward, German publication Bild reports.

The report adds that Erik ten Hag’s side are willing to bid as much as £105m to land the France international in what would be a club-record deal.

The report adds United are lining up their first bid for the star, with Frankfurt willing to entertain offers in the region of £90m.

Astonishingly, Europa League champions Frankfurt secured the services of Kolo Muani on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Nantes last summer.

United are on the lookout for a striker, and could offload several players, as Ten Hag looks to further stamp his authority on his squad.

PSG are also understood to be looking to bolster their forward line, and are keen on bringing the player back to the French capital, given Neymar’s future remains up in the air.

Kolo Muani has 11 goals and 12 assists to his name in the Bundesliga so far this season.

He was also played his part in the final, despite missing a glorious opportunity to win the match in extra-time, as his country lost to Argentina on penalties.

It remains to be seen if the player decides to stay put at Frankfurt, head back to his homeland and join PSG, or move to the Premier League and sign for Man United.

Meanwhile, 2-0 down and struggling against Argentina, Deschamps threw on Muani who changed the game with his pace and incisiveness. He won the penalty that allowed them a foothold back into the game, while his general play stretched Argentina.

Muani, amid the success of his campaign so far, has experienced tough moments this season – not least in that World Cup final where he missed a glorious opportunity to win the game in the depths of extra-time.

Put through, he only had Emi Martinez to beat but could not find a way beyond the goalkeeper.
