It’s the highlight of the Ligue 1 action this weekend at the Orange Vélodrome when Marseille play hosts to Monaco with just one place in the French top flight keeping them apart after excellent runs of form for either club.

Marseille have been the most in-form team since the World Cup ended in December by winning all six games and scoring a stunning 16 goals and letting in just three in this time.

Monaco themselves are in fantastic form, despite losing on penalties to Ligue 2′s Rodez in the round of 64 of the French Cup. Philippe Clement’s men smashed Ajaccio last time out with a hat-trick from Wissam Ben Yedder and a Breel Embolo brace.

Krepin Diatta and Axels Disasi scored a goal each too in the 7-1 win to throw Monaco into fourth in the league after a lengthy process to get into the top four.
