Masters 2022: Is Tiger Woods going to make his return to golf at Augusta National this year?

Tiger Woods had a car accident last year. He has been walking and playing golf since December. There are rumors that he will play in the Masters in April. He is not ready to play full schedule yet. His first round back professionally could be at Augusta National on April 7. It is going to take a lot of work to get back to full fitness. The hard part is walking. Tiger is doing beach walks and walking golf courses. In February, he was interviewed by Jim Nantz during Round 3 at Riviera Country Club. Woods looked more fit and joyful than he has in a long time. This is the one-year anniversary of the accident.

Woods hasn't played a competitive tournament since the 2010 Masters. He finished T4 at Augusta 12 years ago. If he plays this year, it will be his first professional tournament in 18 months. It took him months to build up to winning the 2019 Masters at the same venue.

Tiger Woods is considering a return to the Open Championship at St. Andrews. He has probably two good rounds at the Old Course at that course. The 150th Open is being played at this year's St Andrews for the 30th time in history. Tiger's next major championship could be at Augusta National in 2022.
