Mathys Tel to Bayern Munich: German giants bet big on a 17-year-old with less than 100 senior minutes played
Mathys Tel has completed his medical and signed a contract with Bayern Munich. The 17-year-old has signed for the German giants until 2027. Tel is a product of the Stade Rennais academy. He has played less than 100 minutes of senior soccer and is yet to score or assist. His performances at the European Under-17 Championships in Israel this summer attracted Europe's top clubs. He was coach Jose Alcocer's captain and leading scorer. Bruno Genesio is disappointed about Tel's imminent departure. Rennes' most recent youth academy gem was Eduardo Camavinga who recently won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid at age of 19.
