The field for the 2022 Melbourne Cup has been narrowed to 32 after Caulfield Cup winner Durston's withdrawal and second favourite Loft's exit. The final acceptors will be taken at 4:30pm AEDT on Saturday and the barrier draw held after the last race at Flemington. Lunar Flare, Point Nepean and Deauville Legend are guaranteed spots.
