Milwaukee Admirals goalies have odd relationship

Yaroslav Askarov and Devin Cooley are the Milwaukee Admirals' goalies. They are competing for playing time and promotion to the Nashville Predators. Coley and Askov have a good relationship. They communicate and support each other. The coach supports them too. It's a strange relationship between the goalkeepers. Both players are self-confident and self aware. Askori is still self conscious about his English.

Yaroslav Askarov was drafted by the Nashville Predators with the 11th pick in the 2020 draft. He played sparingly in 2021-22 with six games in KHL, nine in VHL and one in World Junior Championship. Askarov joined the Milwaukee Admirals in spring after the St. Petersburg season ended. He is surprised by his popularity in U.S. and likes the American mentality. His Instagram feed and his wife's YouTube channel are also popular.

Devin Cooley played for the University of Denver and signed with the Predators in 2020. He got his first taste of the AHL last season behind one of top goalies in the league, Connor Ingram. Coley stepped up for Milwaukee Admirals in their first-round playoff series against the Manitoba Moose. The team was eliminated by the Chicago Wolves. It's unlikely that Coooley will play in NHL until 2022-23.

Milwaukee Admirals have two goalies. The team has a back-to-back schedule. Asky Askarov is 7-3 with a 2.71 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage, while Cools is 4-1 with 2 2 .56 GAA and .916 save Percentage. Askarov is expected to play in Nashville against Chicago tomorrow. The Predators have been the model for developing goalkeepers. They produced Pekka Rinne and Jusse Saros. It's expected Askarsarov will play against the Blackhawks. He hasn't played a lot in the last two years in KHL.

Askarov has been in the country for seven months. He's got the words "Goalie" and "Privet" down. Cooley hasn't learned many Russian words.
