Luis Garcia is a dark horse candidate for the American League Cy Young Award. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting last season. Garcia helped the Houston Astros to the World Series. The 25-year-old Venezuelan posted a 3.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 167 strikeouts in 155 1/3 innings last year. His team, the Astros, will do a good job of improving his peripheral metrics. He is also a candidate in a rotation that also includes Justin Verlander, Lance McCullers and Framber Valdez.
