New York Mets (85-50) play Pittsburgh Pirates (49-84) at 12:35 p.m. ET. The Mets lost two of three at home to the Nationals and Pittsburgh was swept at their home by the Blue Jays. New York turns to Taijuan Walker (10-3, 3.45 ERA) and the Pirates turn to Mitch Keller (4-10, 4.43 ERA). The line opened with the Mets listed as a -195 road favorite and a +180 home dog.
Cleveland Guardians are playing at Kansas City Royals. The Royals are 14.5 games behind the Guardians in the AL Central standings. Cleveland is on a five-game losing streak and just got swept at home by the Mariners. Kansas is a +110 home favorite.
Detroit Tigers are 1-5 in their last six games and have the fourth worst record in MLB. Los Angeles Angels are 6-3 over their recent 9 games, but they just lost two of three on the road at the Astros. The Tigers tap left-hander Tyler Alexander and the Angels trot out Jose Suarez.
