Monmouth vs Seton Hall Odds and Picks (Nov. 9)

Monmouth joined the Colonial Athletic Association after playing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Monmouth made the MAAC tournament finals as the No. 4 seed before falling to Saint Peter’s. Seton Hall is a 19-point favorite over Monetmouth in their college basketball season opener at 8 pm ET on FS1.

Monmouth and Seton Hall were 21-13 both SU and ATS last season. Monmouth won 23 of 34 games and the total went under in 21 of 31. Set on Hall won 13-17-1 ATC.

Shaheen Holloway takes over as coach at Seton Hall. He was the point guard at Saint Peter's. The Pirates lost their three leading scorers, but they have some new players. They play Monmouth on November 9. They have a tough non-conference schedule. Their opponents include Iowa, Memphis, Rutgers and Kansas. Kevin Willard's team plays Monet on Nov. 9th. It's not clear when Alexis Yetna will return from injury.

Monmouth is one of the four teams joining the Colonial this season. Monmouth had winning records in six of last eight seasons in the MAAC. The Hawks were picked to finish 10th in CAA preseason coaches’ poll. After Seton Hall, Monmmouth will play at Virginia and at Illinois.

Monmouth and Seton Hall meet on November 9. Shaheen Holloway will make his return for the Setons.
