Mor Mitti: Here's How Four Aspirants Rebuilt This Jharkhand Village's Identity

Mor Mitti is a project started by four people in Simdega village of Jharkhand. It was established to promote the local needs. The project has brought together over 40 rural households under one roof. One of the founders is cycling across 1,400 km to spread the word about the project.

Mor Mitti is a project that aims to bring together the rural communities and build a formal economy. The project is organised by four founding members who work in different departments within the district administration. They have been training rural people and introducing them to modern equipment. They also established an eco-friendly space that is one of its kind in Jharkhand. It was used to harness the expertise of the villagers and bring people together through local food, culture, and arts. Their aim is to reverse the migration prevalent in the villages.

Biswambharnath is travelling on a cycle to introduce Jharkhand and Simdega to the world. He has covered over 640 km so far. He is meeting with 10,000 people on his journey. The journey is taking longer than expected. Every place he has stopped at has had an interesting story attached to it. It is breaking stereotypes. People are thinking why they leave the forests and go seek opportunities in a closed cabin.

Biswambharnath has travelled 600 km from Mor to Mitti. He met many curious people who had interesting questions for him and Mor Mittis. Mor's founders are hoping to create a base of over thousands of investors and expand their initiative to accommodate a lot of local entrepreneurs.
