Myles Straw has signed a five-year, $25 million contract extension with two team options.
Straw came to Cleveland in a trade with Houston for Phil Maton and prospect catcher Yainer Diaz last summer. He batted .285 with 16 doubles and 42 runs scored in 60 games.
Houston signed a contract extension with the player, 27, who was drafted by the team in the 12th round. The player was cut from his high school team as a freshman.
