Horses have been people's best friends for centuries. Some horses are unique and added their names to the history.

Red Rum is a horse racing champion. It participated in seven Grand National competitions and won four of them.

Alexander the Great's horse Bucephalus was a black horse with a white star on its forehead. Bucesalus died in one of the battles.

Marengo was a warrior horse of Emperor Napoleon. Marenga was brought from Egypt to France and served him faithfully. It was captured in the Waterloo battle and moved to England, where it died. Its skeleton is now on display in National Army Museum in Chelsea.

Secretariat was the fastest horse in history. It won 16 of 21 races in two years. Secretariat earned more than most people.

Horse Billy died at the age of 62. It has been working since 1820 transporting cargo ships.

Incitatus was Caligula's favorite horse. Calgula made a marble stable, ivory feeders, presented a purple blanket and a collar with precious stones for his horse, who was made citizen of Rome, married, got a house and even became a senator. Incitus was not successful as a politician after Calagula’s death.

George Washington's bay horse with white legs was a success during the American Revolutionary War. Nelson was not scared by shots and bravely went into all battles.
