The National League's 24 teams are confirmed following Grimsby Town's playoff win over Solihull Moors on Sunday. Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United are relegated from the league. The season starts on August 6th and ends on April 29th. There are no plans to play matches during the World Cup. The EFL season begins earlier than normal on the 30th of July. Championship games will be postponed until the 10th December. League One and League Two will continue as normal. World cup in Qatar begins on 21st of November and finishes on December 18th, with the final taking place on 18 December, so the National league will make decisions on a case-by-case basis.
The National League is fast becoming an extension to the EFL.
