Verdict

Chesterfield have been patiently awaiting the winner of the National League eliminator since wrapping up their season with a 4-0 win over Maidstone in April.

That victory was their fourth home win in five matches, a run in which they found the net 15 times. However, during this period, they did lose 3-1 to York City too.

Only Wrexham, Woking and York have beaten Bromley in their last 32 matches in all competitions, a sensational run of form that has seen them take points from Notts County on two occasions.

One of their most recent wins came against Chesterfield, 2-0, and The Ravens ran them close early in the season when they were beaten 3-2 at this stadium.

As good as Chesterfield have looked towards the end of the season, they haven't looked unbeatable. Bromley can take confidence from their win, while the Spireites had a five-match winless run at home through February and March.

Eighteen of 26 visitors to Technique Stadium have scored at least one goal. Bromley have only failed to score twice in their 25 away matches, so it seems likely they will get on the scoresheet.

Chesterfield's tally of 48 home goals - a number which averages out at 2.08 goals per game - was only bettered by Wrexham and Notts County. Bromley will look to be deep and compact but it seems inevitable that both teams will score at least once.
