Nations Pride runs fastest ever 1 1/2 miles at Big A in Jockey Club Derby
Nations Pride won the Jockey club derby at Aqueduct in the fastest time ever for 1 1/2 miles. The Grey Wizard finished second, while Ardakan, Daunt, and Wicked Fast were third. It was the third stakes win on the year for Nations Pride. His career record now stands at 9-6-2-0, $1,434,216. Modern Games became the first three-year-old winner of the Woodbine Mile. He was bred in Ireland and out of Important Time, a stakes-winning daughter of Oasis Dream and the Group 1-winner Satwa Queen.
