Both Los Angeles teams have seen big shifts in odds, with the Clippers and Lakers moving to under 20/1 odds. The team to watch, however, are the Minnesota Timberwolves who currently occupy the top spot in the Western Conference with odds shortening to about 20/1 or less.

bet365 is still offering a fantastic price for the current No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, giving odds at +2500 while others are between 15/1 and 20/1. The Warriors lost Draymond Green indefinitely, and already struggling with him playing before. Some oddsmakers have moved the Warriors asking price to 40/1, although Caesars and bet365 aren't budging quite yet.

Boston hasn't seen much movement in the odds, although still occupying the favorite position with all but one book. The issue for Boston, right now, is that is just 7-6 on the road this year compared to a 14-0 clip at home.

That trend likely won't last, but it's something to monitor when the postseason rolls around. The Celtics have had issues on the road this season, which might work itself out when the playoffs arrive.

Regardless, the No. 1 seed will be crucial for them to take at such short odds consider the Milwaukee Bucks under the radar and the Philadelphia 76ers looking unbeatable at the moment.

Much like Boston's odds, the Nuggets haven't seen much movement and still occupy the favored position for all Western Conference teams. The Nuggets are virtually unbeatable at home, so much like Boston, the No. 1 seed will be crucial the deeper they get into the postseason.

Denver has somewhat flown under the radar this season, quietly playing elite basketball with new additions such as Reggie Jackson. This team is still very deep and very talented, and if healthy should probably occupy the top odds over Boston.

If Denver's odds continue to float at this price then take them, because there's a case to be made that they should be much shorter especially if they pass Minnesota as the top seed in the Western Conference.

bet365 is the only book still offering these odds for the best team in the Western Conference.

They will make the playoffs, and if the Timberwolves can perform at their current level when March ends, you'll do a backflip while holding a long-shot ticket on a team with a great chance to reach the Western Conference Finals. This should be an early Christmas gift you treat yourself with now, before bet365 follows the other books.

Nothing has changed much for us here. The Lakers seem to be in a similar situation as they were near the beginning of 2023, which is when they started slow but eventually pushed to reach the playoffs. They then exited against a team truly better than them, which still applies to a handful in the Western Conference.

The odds for Los Angeles were much better a week ago, but have shortened following an NBA Cup victory in Las Vegas. Don't be fooled, as the Lakers are a decent playoff pick on paper but not a serious take for the NBA Finals win at 18/1 odds.
