NBA Odds: Pistons-Heat prediction, odds and pick

Detroit Pistons (6-19) and Miami Heat (11-13) are playing each other on Tuesday at 7:30 pm ET. Detroit has lost four of their last five games and is 14th in the Eastern Conference. Miami has won two of its last three games but is still in ninth place in East. Last year Miami went 3-1 against Detroit.

Detroit Pistons are in the mix for the top pick in next summer's NBA draft. The Pistons rank in bottom ten in scoring, points allowed, and both offensive and defensive efficiency. Detroit also struggles to rebound the ball. Cade Cunningham is out again, so the team has more of an offensive scoring load. Bojan Bogdanovic has been outstanding since signing with Detroit this offseason. Jaden Ivey has played well since Cunningham went out. He's been a bit of a disappointment, but he's a capable scorer.

Miami Heat have turned their season around after a slow start. They are 28th in scoring and 25th on the offensive end. Their defense is solid, but they are 25 th in rebound differential and 23rd in the rebound rate. Jimmy Butler returned from injury recently and has been playing well. The team needs to dominate the glass against Detroit. Bam Adebayo is a key player for them.

Miami has looked better since Butler is back. The Pistons are struggling and are destined for one of the worst records in the league.
