NBA Picks March 15th

For a quiet Friday in the NBA, I’ve ended up in on a couple of road teams that I feel aren’t laying enough points. Tag along, shall you? Here are my NBA picks for March 15th. Go here for the latest NBA odds.

NBA Picks March 15th

Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors

Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Magic -3.5
Total: 225.5

The Toronto Raptors are crummy, the Orlando Magic are not. The Toronto Raptors’ whole team (basically) is injured; the Orlando Magic are healthy. I don’t get this line.

Sure, Orlando isn’t that great on the road, but they’ve won two of their last three away games. And Toronto has lost five straight games as the majority of their key players watch from the sidelines. The Magic cover the 3.5 points for us. And I’m also playing the Under on the line here – based on both teams’ recent play, I’d expect this to not get out of the low 210s.

Denver Nuggetsvs. San Antonio Spurs

Tipoff – 8:30 pm EST
Spread: Nuggets -9.5
Total: 226.5

The Denver Nuggets are not playing around. While last season they seemed to be on cruise control at certain points, they’ve got their pedal to the metal right now, gunning for the top seed in the Western Conference. And this is bad news for the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow night.

Denver isn’t playing with their food, either, as they beat the Heat in Miami by 12 points last time out, and Utah by 21 points two games ago. I think they beat the Spurs by double-digits on Friday in San Antonio. No play on the properly lined-up Total.

Best Bet: Nuggets -9.5 (-109)
