NBA Picks March 19th

‘Tis the season to be playing Unders! It’s not just March Madness, where we know to play first-half Unders in the games, but the NBA is in on the action as well. Unders hit 62% of the time last week as the players continue to try to adjust to how the referees are calling the games now.  With that in mind, here are my NBA picks for March 19th. NBA Picks March 19th

Houston Rockets vs. Washington Wizards

Tipoff – 7:00 pm EST
Spread: Rockets -7.5
Total: 228.5

Despite missing their best player, Alperen Sengun, the Houston Rockets are making a late run for the play-in. And they aren’t just beating teams, they’re crushing them.

So I like them to cover the 7.5 points in Washington on Tuesday night. The Wizards stink, and now pretty much their whole team is on the injured list. This also plays into the Total, which I’m making a play on as well. As mentioned above, Unders are the way, and these two teams probably will not get out of the low 220s, especially with all the scorers injured.

Best Bet: Rockets -7.5 (-109); Rockets/Wizards Under 228.5 (-104)

New Orleans Pelicansvs. Brooklyn Nets

Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Pelicans -5.5
Total: 218

Another team surging in the Western Conference is the New Orleans Pelicans. Winners of two straight and six of seven, they’re up to fifth in the West and are breathing down the struggling Los Angeles Clippers’ necks for the fourth seed.

And the Brooklyn Nets are still crummy, so I don’t get why the spread is only 5.5 points. The Pelicans cover for us in Brooklyn on Tuesday night. And this is a game where the Total reflects the play as of late, so sadly there’s no money to be made there.
