NBA player props: Best bets for Tuesday, January 9 featuring Anthony Davis, Brunson, Sabonis

We’ve got a small five-game slate in the NBA Tuesday, which means finding the best player props to target can be a bit of a challenge. Here’s a look at some of our favorite plays for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Domantas Sabonis under 13.5 rebounds vs. Pistons (+105)

Sabonis has been an absolute force on the glass this season, averaging 12.8 rebounds per game. He’s gone over this line in four of the last five games, but did have a string of seven straight games going under this mark. The Pistons have been a disaster this year but they do hold up well on the glass, ranking 10th in opponent rebounds allowed. Sabonis might also play less minutes if this game turns into a blowout, which also factors into taking the under on his rebounding prop tonight.

Jalen Brunson under 7.5 assists vs. Trail Blazers (+114)

The Knicks point guard has been dealing lately, going over this line in four of the last six games. The Trail Blazers are also soft when it comes to allowing opponent assists, ranking 20th in the league. However, Brunson has been taking a lot more shots of late. He’s attempting 21.4 shots per game over the last nine contests and that might lead him to spread the ball around less. Plus, this game could be over in a hurry and the Knicks might opt to rest their star. The under feels like the stronger play on this line.

Anthony Davis over 28.5 points vs. Raptors (-140)

Toronto is without Jakob Poeltl and Christian Koloko, which means Davis has the superior matchup on the inside. The Lakers big man has gone over this total six times in the last 11 games, and is averaging 28.1 points per game during that span. It is a high line given the other scorers on this team but Davis likely won’t get a better matchup opportunity than this to have a big night.
