NBA prop picks January 8: Fade Murray against tough competition

The NBA is ending its week with a nine-game slate stacked with prop betting opportunities.

Dejounte Murray could struggle against the Los Angeles Clippers team. Kevin Porter Jr. is rolling and Lauri Markkanen has a tough task ahead of him on the glass.

Dejounte Murray is under the line for the NBA prop bet. The Clippers are a tough team to bet against. Los Angeles allows the second-fewest points per game and sixth-most assists to shooting guards. Murray has a PRA average of 29.9 in his last 18 games.

Porter Jr. has hit this over in six of his last nine games. He's averaging 22.7 points during that span. Minnesota Timberwolves concede the seventh-most points to PGs in the NBA on a per-game basis.

Lauri Markkanen has to deal with the Memphis Grizzlies on the second leg of a back-to-back. The Grizzlies have been resting since Thursday night.
