Warriors vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay picks: Trust Green’s playmaking

The Golden State Warriors hope to snap a two-game losing streak when they travel to Memphis for a showdown with the Grizzlies.

The pregame narrative: Draymond Green has been distributing the ball well in recent weeks, Tyus Jones is unlikely to make a difference with his rebounding and Dillon Brooks is a gunner who’s heating up.

Here are our best Warriors vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay picks for March 9.

NBA odds as of 12:55 p.m. on 03/09/2023.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies same-game parlay

Parlay: Green over 6.5 assists + Jones under 3.5 rebounds + Brooks over 1.5 threes (+425)

Green over 6.5 assists (+100): Even-money props aren’t always parlay-friendly, but we’ve got two other parlay legs on the safe side and we like how this pushes the payout.

Green has been consistently hitting this over since mid-January, averaging 7.2 assists over his last 20 games with only six unders on this line.

The Grizzlies possess a sturdy defence, but we’re not going to be scared off of Green, who produced seven assists in his only matchup against them this season.

Without Ja Morant and Steven Adams, this team isn’t at full strength, and the Warriors’ versatile playmaker should be able to take advantage of that.

Other parlay legs

Jones under 3.5 rebounds (-155): Standing at six feet and weighing in at 196 pounds, it’s fair to say that Jones isn’t equipped to be an impactful rebounder at the NBA level. Unsurprisingly, the point guard has hit this under in 82.8% of his games this season.

Although he’s getting more playing time with Ja Morant out, he’s still produced three or fewer boards in seven of his 10 starts. The Warriors aren’t the NBA’s most intimidating rebounding squad, but that’s largely due to a lack of size at the forward positions.

Golden State’s guards have some length, and according to FantasyPros, the team has conceded the 10th-fewest rebounds in the league to the point guard position.

If Jones is able to make his presence felt on the glass, something will have gone horribly wrong for the Warriors.

Brooks over 1.5 threes (-155): Brooks is not a great 3-point shooter, but he’s a willing bomber, which is arguably more important for this prop. The Canadian is averaging a career-high 5.8 attempted threes per game this season — and he’s been surprisingly efficient on them lately.

Brooks has hit this over in five consecutive contests, shooting 39.4% from behind the line in those games.

If he’s willing to keep firing — and that’s rarely an issue with Brooks — he should find success against a Warriors team that struggles to defend 3-pointers. Golden State concedes the seventh-most threes in the NBA on a per-game basis (12.8) and allows opponents to convert at a 36.2% rate, which ranks 18th.
