Nets vs. Nuggets prediction and odds for Sunday, March 12 (Brooklyn can cover)

The Brooklyn Nets are back in the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference following the New York Knicks’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, and they’ll look to stay there by upsetting the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

The Nets have won four of their last five games, with the team’s lone loss coming to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets are struggling a bit, losing on the road to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. Denver has dropped two straight games, but it’s looking to stay dominant at home, where it is 30-5 this season.

The Nets have been a tough team to beat even after the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving trades, but they’re catching nine points in this game.

Here’s the latest odds and how to bet on this matchup:

Nets vs. Nuggets odds, spread and total

Nets vs. Nuggets prediction and pick

Denver is one of the best teams in the NBA against the spread at home this season, going 22-12-1, but I can’t lay this number with the Nuggets after back-to-back bad losses.

Brooklyn, despite the major roster shakeup, is still playing hard under Jacque Vaughn, ranking second in the NBA in net rating over its last five games.

The team has several strong defenders on the wing, and Nic Claxton is equipped to at least slow down Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets are the best home team in the NBA, but they are playing another playoff team, and I think the Nets deserve a little more respect for some of the recent wins they picked up, including one over the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road on Friday.

I’ll take the nine points here.
