New Mexico-bred Dominates TCA
Slammed won the GII Thoroughbred Club of America S. at Del Mar. The horse was trained by Todd Fincher. Florent Geroux rode her. FIncher also trained Senor Buscador to a win at Churchill. Sammered won a qualifier for the GI Breeders' Cup F/M Sprint. He is proud of his horses. They are the superstars. It's been a productive eight days in Kentucky for F Incher and Senorsor. His horses are superstar. Their horses can go much faster. They can get away from the gate good and clean.
Slammed is the first graded stakes winner for her sire, a Godolphin homebred by Bernardini out of MGISW Seventh Street. Dam Hennesey Smash never ventured out to the Southwest, but was seven-for-eight lifetime for Fincher and owner/breeder Barbara Coleman. Roll Hennessy Roll, the top New Mexico sires, was himself represented by his first winner as a broodmare sired.
