meet the trainer keen to show home state in better Breeders’ Cup light
Todd Fincher is going to the Breeders' Cup with two horses from New Mexico. He has trained more than 1,300 winners in New Mexican horse racing. His last winner was Slammed, who won the G2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland. Senor Buscador won at Churchill Downs on October 1. He is not yet eligible for the event as he is by a non-nominated stallion. FIncher will pay $200,000 to get him in. The owners will have to pay the money if he does. Ricks Natural Star was a failure in the Turf Breeder's Cup 26 years ago.
