Troy Taylor was hired as the next coach of Stanford football. He was previously the head coach at Sacramento State. His annual salary at Stanford is expected to be at least 10 times what he made there. The program has a brand recognition that resonates with athletes. It's a big jump from the FCS to the Power 5. There are more pressure from donors and more stratification in terms of resources. The Cardinal aren't about to lower their academic standards to win football games. They're about the win the game.
