Newcastle United are second-favourites to top Champions League Group F with Sky Bet... despite the Magpies' HORROR draw with PSG, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund

Newcastle United fans watched on with bated breath on Thursday as they learned their Champions League fate.

It would have been a tough pill to swallow for Magpies fans, as they were drawn into the group of death alongside European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan - all three of whom have at least reached the final in the past 16 years.

Contrast that with Newcastle, who will be taking part in Europe's top club competition for the first time since 2002-03. Despite their incredibly tough opposition, Sky Bet have Eddie Howe's side as second-favourites to win Group F.

Last season's Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan are third-favourites at 4/1, while German giants Borussia Dortmund are the widest odds in Group F at 9/2.

Although many Newcastle fans would have preferred an easier path to Champions League progression, if they were to justify the bookies' odds and finish top two in the group and reach the round of 16 - it would be a historic moment for the North East club.
