Next West Ham Manager Odds & Analysis

Rafa Benitez has emerged as the favourite to replace embattled West Ham boss David Moyes as the club’s next permanent manager.

have slashed the odds on Moyes becoming the next managerial casualty of the season following a dismal run of results.

The Hammers have fallen into the relegation zone after taking just a single point from their last five games, leaving the manager in a precarious position.

You can now bet on who will replace him at the London Stadium, and Benitez is the leading contender.

He is reportedly keen on the job, but Benitez could face competition from the likes of Sean Dyche and Mauricio Pochettino.

Read on to learn more about the leading contenders to become the next permanent Hammers boss if Moyes is axed.

Rafa Benitez

Benitez could prove to be an attractive target for the West Ham board, as he boasts a wealth of experience in the Premier League.

He won the Champions League at Liverpool and the Europa League with Chelsea, while he also worked wonders on a shoestring budget at Newcastle.

The Spaniard was sacked just six months into his reign as Everton boss last season, and that ill-fated period undoubtedly represents a blot on his CV.

However, he has managed some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Valencia, Inter Milan and Napoli, so he is widely regarded as an elite coach.

Benitez has been heavily linked with the West Ham job, and he is now the Evens favourite to replace Moyes in the hot seat.

Sean Dyche

Dyche has also been out of work since Burnley sacked him last season, bringing an end to his 10-year tenure at the club.

Since then, he has been linked with dozens of jobs - including and managerial posts - but he remains on the shelf.

Dyche kept Burnley afloat for many years during his time with the Clarets, so he is viewed as a survival specialist in the top flight.

That could endear him to the West Ham hierarchy, with the team currently languishing in 18th place, level on points with bottom club Southampton.

He may not be the most obvious candidate to work with technicians like Lucas Paqueta and Said Benrahma, but he could help to shore up the Hammers’ defence, which has been leaking goals lately.

As such, Dyche is now the 6/1 second favourite to take over as the next permanent West Ham manager if the Hammers hand Moyes his marching orders.

Mauricio Pochettino

Bringing Pochettino to the London Stadium would represent a major coup for West Ham’s ambitious board.

He was one of the Premier League’s most highly-rated managers during spells at Southampton and Tottenham, and he led Spurs to the 2019 Champions League final.

Pochettino won Ligue 1 with PSG last season, but the Qatari owners sacked him for failing to secure Champions League glory.

He has turned down several offers since then, including the chance to replace Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa, as he is biding his time for a bigger job.

A return to Spurs has been touted, as Antonio Conte finds himself under pressure in the , but he may be tempted by the chance to manage West Ham.

The club spent heavily on new players last summer, and they are still in Europe this season, which could help to sway Poch.

He is priced at 10/1 to take over as West Ham manager, although he is also the 6/4 favourite to replace Graham Potter in the .

Carlos Corberan

Corberan emerged as one of the country’s most exciting managers after he left a coaching post at Leeds to led Huddersfield to the Championship Play-Off final last season.

He left the Terriers to take the reins at Olympiacos, but that move proved disastrous, so he returned to England to rebuild his reputation.

The 39-year-old Spanish coach was appointed West Brom manager in October.

The Baggies were second from bottom in the Championship at the time, but they are now up to sixth after embarking on a four-game winning streak.

It is, therefore, easy to see why Corberán is a genuine contender for the West Ham job, priced at 12/1 with BetVictor.

Nuno Espirito Santo

The former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is also priced at 12/1 to make a return to top flight management at the London Stadium.

He struggled during his time with Spurs last season, but he still has a lot of admirers thanks to his sterling work at Molineux.

Wolves offered an exciting blend of English steel and Iberian flair during his time with the club, and he may be an interesting candidate to replace Moyes.

The Rest

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and former Hammers captain Mark Noble are both priced at 14/1 with to become the next West Ham manager.

It is hard to see the board taking a risk on Noble, who has no managerial experience, but Postecoglou is another intriguing option after excelling at Celtic.

Steven Gerrard and Vincent Kompany are both 20/1, while you can find 25/1 on Michael Carrick, Scott Parker, Sam Allardyce, Chris Wilder, Marcelo Bielsa, Wayne Rooney and Thomas Frank.

Bielsa looks like the most interesting contender from that list, although he is not exactly renowned for defensive pragmatism, so it is easy to see why he is a long shot.
