NFC playoff picture: Detroit Lions just 1.5 games out of Wild Card spot
The Detroit Lions are playing good football and have won three straight games. They are now a contender for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The team is 1.5 games out of a playoff spot with half the season left.
The Washington Commanders (6-5) and Detroit Lions (4-6) are in the Wild Card race. If the 49ers lose to the Cardinals on Monday night, the Lions will drop one spot. They will be 1.5 games out of the final Wildcard spot, but they have the tiebreaker over the Commander's and the Giants.
The Cowboys are the most likely Wild Card team. The Lions are 4-4, the Falcons 4.4 and the Giants 3-3. They play the Commanders and Giants in the divisional games.
The Vikings are currently leading the NFC North. The Vikings have seven games left to play. Detroit is four games behind them. Minnesota has the head-to-head advantage.
