One of the NFL’s most bitter rivalries takes the stage Sunday afternoon when the Raiders host the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium. Kansas City is a nine-point favorite at most sportsbooks, but the Chiefs haven’t looked like themselves on offense, while the Raiders have gotten a boost from new coach Antonio Pierce.

We’ve got two enticing prop bets to consider for the game. Click here for more insights on the best NFL betting sites, and you can also monitor game lines each week on our NFL odds page.

America was ready to see Taylor Swift celebrate and the Chiefs offense explode Monday night against the Eagles, but neither happened. Kansas City moved the ball well between the 20s but scored only 17 points in the Super Bowl rematch, and the megastar did not show.

The Chiefs offense ranks 14th in points scored and has lost two of their last three. Superstar QB Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 19 touchdowns but it seems like his only reliable target is tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs are 7-3 thanks to a powerful defense led by Chris Jones who has 7.5 sacks.

Las Vegas has won two out of three for Pierce, but lost last week to Miami 20-13 in a game where they had some chances late. The Raiders just can’t get their running game going. Star running back Josh Jacobs has 661 yards on 200 carries, and Davante Adams has 741 yards receiving.

The Raiders are using young quarterback Aidan O’Connell and he’s been inconsistent with six picks. The Chiefs have a major advantage at quarterback in this one. Kansas City has beaten the Raiders five times in a row and 10 of the last 11. These two teams have been fighting it out since the 1960s and the old American Football League.

Kickoff Sunday is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. with the broadcast on CBS.

Rice, a rookie second-round pick out of SMU, has the second most targets of any Chief at 46 and has 36 catches for 420 yards.

It’s taken some time, but he’s clearly started to develop some chemistry with Mahomes and has good speed after the catch. He’s no Tyreek Hill, the ex-Chiefs star now with the Dolphins – but Rice is going to get his chances against the Raiders.

Rice has scored a touchdown every other week since Week 5. He didn’t score against the Eagles, so he’s due, and the +230 is a good bet because you know the Chiefs will want to spread the ball around.

The NFL has turned into an Under league. Poor quarterback play is the main cause.

The numbers are amazing. Kansas City is 2-8 over/under this year and has hit the under in six straight games, while the Raiders are 2-9 over/under. The Chiefs still have the ability to post a big number, but the Raiders have scored 16 or fewer points in four of their last five games (they scored 30 against the Giants, but that doesn’t mean much).

Here you have an offense that’s struggling for the Chiefs, and a Raiders defense going against a good Chiefs defense that ranks No. 3 in points allowed. This one screams under.
