Are you still alive in your NFL survivor pool? Because if so, you’re already doing better than most NFL bettors.

The Buffalo Bills were a lock last week, while the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns played spoiler. Here are our best picks (and must-fade) for NFL Week 3 survivor picks.

Week 3 NFL survivor picks: Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5, -770 ML)

The Chiefs are not playing their best brand of football yet (ninth in yards gained, 22nd in points scored), but they are in a much better situation than whatever it is the Bears find themselves in.

Chicago is not playing into the athletic strengths of Justin Fields, and his confidence and decision-making have been affected. The Bears rebuilt defense has also struggled and allowed 32.5 points per game, the second-most in the league.

Chris Jones’ return to the Chiefs defense saw them give up just 9 points and 271 yards to the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. With a legit defense backing up Patrick Mahomes, we don’t see the Chiefs falling to the Bears at home.

NFL survivor predictions Week 3: Dallas Cowboys (-12.5, -820 ML)

The Cowboys can make the case that they’re playing the best football in the entire league through two weeks. They haven’t played great opponents, but they have beaten two reputable teams, the Giants and Jets.

Dallas is tied for the league lead in sacks (10) and has the best scoring margin of a whopping +30 per game, 20 points higher than the next best. The Cardinals have looked better than advertised but are 0-2 (ironically against two other NFC East opponents) and now have to face America’s team.

The Cowboys’ offense still has room to improve after it led five drives that ended in field goals last week. If they can convert a couple of those into touchdowns, there’s little the Cardinals will be able to do to match them.

Week 3 NFL survivor best bets: Fade the Philadelphia Eagles (-5.5, -230 ML)

Thinking of backing the 2-0 NFC champions in primetime? Let’s pump the brakes a little.

The Eagles’ offense has not looked the same following the departure of offensive coordinator Shane Steichen and the introduction of his replacement, Brian Johnson. They’re fifth in points scored, but many drives have ended in puzzling decisions or disconnects between Jalen Hurts and his receivers.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are 2-0 and have held both of their opponents to just 17 points. Baker Mayfield looks rejuvenated, and we don’t trust an injured Eagles defense that has surrendered the second-most passing yards to slow him down.

Philly is a sizable favorite, but we’re not as confident in them.
