San Francisco heads east fresh off its 42-10 demolition of the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night.

Brock Purdy is the NFL’s top-rated quarterback (123.1) with nine touchdowns and no interceptions, and running back Christian McCaffrey is pacing the league in scrimmage yards (678) and total TDs (eight).

The Niners’ defense, meanwhile, is the league’s stingiest with 13.6 points allowed per game and has nine takeaways.

Cleveland also boats an elite defense with Myles Garrett and Co. limiting foes to a league-low 196.8 total yards per outing and 15 points per game.

The team’s Week 5 bye, though, still wasn’t enough to heal starting QB Deshaun Watson’s ailing shoulder, and he will miss a second straight game. Journeyman P.J. Walker will start in his place.

With the Browns’ QB issues, the 49ers are now favored by as many as 10 points. The game total, meanwhile, was the lowest on the board at 36 as of Friday.

Walker, who will making his eighth career NFL start in four seasons, figures to be an upgrade over the Browns’ Week 4 starter, rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who threw for only 121 yards and was intercepted three times in a 28-3 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

But Walker is a relative Cleveland newcomer who was added to the roster Aug. 31. He also has an ugly 5:11 TD-pass-to-interception ratio with four fumbles in his brief NFL career.

That’s obviously less than ideal going up against the league’s best team.

Purdy has had at least 252 yards of total offense in each of his last three games.

But facing a rugged Browns defense, a minimal offensive counter threat and a less-than-ideal game-time weather forecast, including wind and rain, points to a low-volume 49ers passing day and an under play on this Purdy prop.
