NHL 22: The 10 tips you need to know for HUT
Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) is back for NHL 22. HUT can be tough to play for people who don't want to spend money on packs. We will go over the 10 tips that you should know for Hut in NHL22.
Before you do anything for Hockey Ultimate Team, you should make sure that you have received all of your pre-order items and claim any returning user packs.
After you have received your starter pack, start grinding in HUT Challenges and Squad Battles. Each H UT Challenge has three objectives. Satisfying all three requirements will yield the maximum reward. In Squad battles, players can take on other Hut teams or custom teams created by influencers and pro athletes.
Synergies are back for NHL 22, but there's a twist. Team synergies do not exist in NHL22. If a synergy is active, only the players who have it will receive the boost.
Team strategies can be changed at the HUT Team section. Team strategies affect positioning, breakout commands, and PP and PK setups.
This year, EA has added X-Factor cards to NHL 22. There is a cap on the amount of Ability points you can allocate to your squad. EA also added two new types of cards: X/X/A/C and Power-Up Icons.
6. Don't forget to do your sets in NHL 22. Gold player exchange sets are popular in the game. They take either eight Silvers in exchange for two Golds, or eight Gold for a chance at Premium Gold.
7. Be careful with MSP sets in HUT. EA has special promos in the game during which they will have a couple of major sets featuring high-rated Master Set Players. Most of the big sets will feature low 90 OVR cards that will get overwhelmed by the meta in near future.
8. Don't spend Coins on packs. It's better to stockpile Coins and choose a specific player to grab. This will ensure that you pick the right card that fits the synergy and setup of your squad.
Keep an eye on the Auction House for cheap Gold player items. Gold cards have a good value throughout the year. If you find them, scoop them up quickly and re-list them.
Logging into Hockey Ultimate Team once a day ensures that you receive a free daily pack. The packs reset every day and each one includes a mix of player items and/or Coin rewards.
