Colorado Avalanche won their third Stanley Cup last season. They defeated the two-time defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning in six games. The Avalanche entered the season as the overwhelming favorite to repeat.
Colorado Avalanche lost forwards Andre Burakovsky, Nazem Kadri and Darcy Kuemper in the offseason. They have not missed much of a beat, skating to a 4-4-1 start in defense of their championship. Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and Valarie Nichushkin are the team's top scorers. Cale Makar and Devon Toews are one of the best defensive pairs in NHL. The team is a playoff lock.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are the current NHL sports betting favorites to win the Stanley Cup in 2022. The team is young, well-coached and hungry. Their biggest question is in the net, as they let Jack Campbell walk and signed Ilya Samsonov and Matt Murray.
