NHL parlay picks Nov. 11: Bet on Canucks to beat Maple Leafs

I'm betting on two totals and a moneyline in my NHL parlay picks for Saturday's action.

The pregame narrative: The Vancouver Canucks are a slight underdog against the Toronto Maple Leafs but should prevail as the fresher team. The over is a nice wager to make in that game so I'm teasing down the total for some added insurance. I'm doing the same in the matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken.

NHL oddsas of 12:43 p.m. on 11/11/2023.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Canucks moneyline + Canucks vs. Maple Leafs over 5.5 goals + Oilers vs. Kraken over 5.5 goals (+331)

Canucks moneyline (-103): There are several reasons to like Vancouver's chances tonight.

The first is that it is the fresher team. Toronto won a shootout thriller, 5-4, over the Calgary Flames on Friday night. It'll be playing its second game in as many nights for the first time this season.

The second is that the Canucks hold a massive goaltending edge. They have the second-best team save percentage (.936) in the league, a mark much higher than Toronto's .883 save percentage.

Lastly, their offence also gets the edge in this tilt. Vancouver leads the league in goals per game (4.54).

Other parlay picks

Canucks vs. Maple Leafs over 5.5 goals (-225): There's every reason to expect a high-scoring battle between these two.

Vancouver's offence leads the NHL in scoring but Toronto isn't too far behind. The Maple Leafs place 10th in goals per game (3.43) and have tallied three-plus markers in each of their last four games.

Their defensive deficiencies also lead to plenty of lamp lighters. They're 28th in goals against per game (3.64) which is why the over on this total has hit in four consecutive Leafs games.

There have been six-plus tallies in five of Vancouver's last six.

Oilers vs. Kraken over 5.5 goals (-220): These two power plays should get to work and put the over in play.

Edmonton's power play is tied for ninth in the NHL this season, generating a 23.3% success rate. It'll meet little resistance from a Seattle penalty kill which ranks 29th (72.5%).

The Kraken enter a similar situation on Saturday. They have the seventh-best power play (26.2%) and battle an Oilers penalty kill that sits 30th (70.2%).

The over on this total has hit in each of Seattle's last five games and four of Edmonton's last five outings.
