The John E Kiely-trained 5 year-old showed a devastating turn-of-foot to dispose of a decent field that day and Nick Luck is still shocked what price he is for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper on Wednesday 15th March.
Nick Luck told the Racing Post “A Dream To Share produced by far the most impressive bumper performance I’ve seen either side of the Irish Sea this season. He has a proper pedigree, being related to a Group 3 Flat winner, and seems to have been slightly undervalued relative to the Willie Mullins contenders. He’s still 5-1 but I think he should be a short-priced favourite.”
Since that win, A Dream To Share has been snapped up by legendary owner JP McManus – who will be looking only his second ever winner in this popular Festival race. JP’s only other success in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper came in 1994 with Mucklemeg.
