The “Red River Rivalry” features two teams that made sizable gains from their preseason standing to now, as the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners travel to Dallas to face No. 3 Texas at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is slated for noon ET.

The Sooners vs. Longhorns matchup will be carried live on ABC. The game can also be accessed via live streams available through FuboTV, which offers a free trial, along with DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).

Texas looks like a mighty blueblood once again under the guidance of coach Steve Sarkisian, handling its five opponents to open with a 5-0 record and a No. 3 national ranking. The Longhorns’ formula so far has involved solid or better production from all levels of its offense and defense. Perhaps the most balanced performance yet came in last week’s tidy 40-14 win over then-No. 24 Kansas, where quarterback Quinn Ewers threw for 325 yards and running back Jonathan Brooks sprinted for 218 and two scores on 21 carries.

Oklahoma is being led by a former defensive guru in Brett Venables, but it’s the Sooners’ offense doing more than its share of heavy lifting. The Sooners have topped 50 points in three of their five contests so far and rank No. 3 nationally in scoring offense (47.4 ppg), first downs gained (136), and team completion percentage (76.2%). Quarterback Dillon Gabriel ranks among the top 10 nationally in most major passing categories.

The Longhorns are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Sooners with -215 odds in the money line, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Oklahoma goes off with +176 odds while the over/under is listed at 60.5 points.

The Longhorns and Sooners are set for an noon ET kickoff on ABC. The game can also be accessed via live streams through FuboTV, which offers a free trial, along with DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).
