Noble Yeats Grand National Odds After 2023 Weights Released

The Noble Yeats Grand National odds sees last year’s winner as the 2023 favourite despite being raised 19lbs. The current Aintree champion heads 77 Grand National runners left in at this stage as he looks to join Tiger Roll and Red Rum as two-winners of the world’s greatest steeplechase.

Noble Yeats Has Grand National Odds of 10/1 To Defend His Aintree Crown

77 Grand National horses stood their ground when the 2023 weights were released today – with the 2021 winner Minella Times the big absentee after being retired.

Twelve months ago we saw Noble Yeats give the bookmakers a big payday when winning at Grand National odds at 50/1, but this year he’s already a fifth of that price @ 10/1 with bet365.

Current Champ Up 19lbs In the Grand National Weights From Last Year

The Emmet Mullins-trained Noble Yeats defied the trends in 2022 to become the first 7 year-old Grand National winner since 1940. However, the now 8 year-old has a new stat to overcome – a 19lb rise in the weights.

Noble Yeats had 10st 10lbs to carry in 2022 and ran off a handicap mark of 147. But with that win under his belt and a victory in the Many Clouds Chase at Aintree last December, the handicapper has taken no chances and raised him over a stone in the weights.

The 2022 Grand National winner has been handed a hefty 11st 11lbs and will race off a rating of 166 – 19lbs higher than 12 months ago.

You have to go back to 1974 to find the last horse to win the Grand National with 11st 11lbs or more – a certain Red Rum.

Which Horses Come Next In The 2023 Grand National Odds Market?

The 2022 Grand National runner-up, Any Second Now @ 16/1, is just behind Noble Yeats in the betting and will carry top-weight or 11st 12lbs. Corach Rambler @ 12/1 is a leading choice too as the Lucinda Russell yard look to add to their 2017 win in the race (One For Arthur).

Last year’s third (beaten 22 lengths) Delta Work (pictured) is @ 16/1, but has a date at the Cheltenham Festival in the Cross Country race first. While the American Grand National winner Hewick is also sure to to be another of the popular Grand National betting tips @ 16/1 for the John Joseph Hanlon yard.
