Noche UFC: Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2: Best odds and our best bets

The UFC is celebrating Mexican Independence Day this Saturday with Noche UFC—and we have the best betting odds and three picks to make.

Women’s flyweight champion and proud Mexican native, Alexa Grasso, is set to make her first title defense against former long-time champ, Valentina Shevchenko.

Meanwhile, the rest of the card features 10 additional bouts, including several athletes who are representing the nation of Mexico.

  • Who: Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko
  • What: Noche UFC: Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2
  • Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
  • When: Saturday, September 16, 2023

Below, you will find our three favorite bets to make for Noche UFC: Grasso vs. Shevchenko 2:

**All of the odds seen below were provided by Caesars Sportsbook on 9/`3/23**

First and foremost, Valentina Shevchenko is one of the most dominant mixed martial artists of this generation (regardless of gender). Not only that, but she has never lost back-to-back fights as a professional.

That being said, Alexa Grasso earned her championship belt this past March, submitting Shevchenko in the fourth round. Notably, all three of the judge’s scorecards had Shevchenko up two rounds to one entering the fourth.

The champ is riding a five-fight winning streak after beginning her UFC tenure with a 3-3 record. We believe this bout will be competitive once again, possibly even going the distance, but we like Shevchenko to regain her title.

A $20 wager at -180 odds will yield a $31.76 payout.

Welterweights Kevin Holland and Jack Della Maddalena are set to collide in the event’s co-headliner. Holland is in the midst of a two-fight finish streak, in which he stopped Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michael Chiesa.

Meanwhile, Maddalena has been an unstoppable force since joining the UFC, finishing his first four opponents before earning a split decision victory in his most-recent appearance.

This fight is likely to contain a ton of action, as both guys are very active inside the octagon. Holland will own a four-inch height advantage and an eight-inch reach advantage. The American has fought 17 times since 2019, which is an other-worldly pace.

We like Holland to use his in-cage experience and get the job done against the rising talent.

A $20 wager at +125 odds will yield a $45.00 payout.

The first leg of this parlay features Mexico’s Daniel Zellhuber, who is facing veteran Christos Giagos. Zellhuber is 1-1 in the UFC, picking up a decision win in his last outing. Meanwhile, Giagos is 6-6 inside the octagon, finishing Ricky Glenn in his previous performance. We are banking on Zellhuber’s physical advantages to lead him to victory.

The second leg of this parlay features Mexico’s Fernando Padilla, who is taking on Canada’s Kyle Nelson. Padilla scored a highlight knockout over the durable Julian Erosa in his UFC debut, while Nelson is 2-4-1 inside the octagon. Could Nelson’s experience help him earn a win this Saturday? Sure. But we are going with the more talented Padilla to earn another victory.

A $20 wager at -104 odds will yield a $39.20 payout.
