North Carolina Online Sports Betting is Live

Nothing could be finer for sports bettors clamoring to make legal online wagers in the Tar Heel State.

North Carolina sports betting has taken a significant step forward with the official launch of mobile wagering. The state finally welcomed in the best North Carolina sports betting apps Monday at noon local time, with eight betting sites kicking things off on Day 1.

Sports bettors in the state, which carries an estimated 2023 population of 10.8 million (ninth-most in the U.S.), aren't expected to waste any time colleting the top available North Carolina sportsbook promos, with every major sportsbook offering some sort of welcome bonus.

Retail sports betting has been legal in North Carolina since March 18, 2021, but it’s taken nearly three years to move to online sports betting. Gov. Roy Cooper signed HB 347 into law on March 11, 2023, officially legalizing online sports betting in North Carolina.
